Relax by the open fire in our comfortable, cosy sitting room. Watch TV all the Sky Freeview channels on TV or catch up with your emails – there’s high-speed wireless broadband available for you to use here at Knockinaam House. When the weather’s good, open the French windows from the dining hall and eat al-fresco – there’s a paved seating area and 3 acres of space outside to run and play. Or you could simply sit quietly and watch the visiting wildlife – deer, rabbits and birds – and catch the stunning sunsets over the sea.

Knockinaam House is 5 minutes drive to Portpatrick and less than 30 minutes’ drive to the Mull of Galloway, Scotland’s most southerly point. Explore no fewer than six stunning gardens at the Rhins of Galloway – or visit the lighthouse and see the spectacular view from the balcony. Scotland is a golfer’s paradise, and Galloway is no exception – there are half a dozen brilliant courses within easy reach of Knockinaam Farm. There are so many lovely walks in the area you could spend a lifetime exploring them. We have every kind of sea shore you could want, too, from beautiful sandy beaches, to spectacular cliffs and pretty coves.
