Vine Cottage is a 17th-century holiday rental in the centre of Burton Bradstock, ideal for up to four guests seeking self-catering accommodation on the Jurassic Coast. Just a short walk from Hive Beach and surrounded by stunning coastal scenery, the cottage offers convenient access to local amenities, including traditional village pubs, shops and scenic walking trails. Perfectly positioned for exploring Dorset’s World Heritage coastline, Vine Cottage combines historic character with a prime village location.
This 17th-century cottage features thick stone walls that help maintain a pleasant temperature throughout the year, keeping it warm in winter and cool in summer. However, the steep cottage stairs may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility or for families with young children.
On the ground floor, there is a cosy living and dining room equipped with a flat-screen smart television and a Blu-ray DVD player. The bathroom includes a wash hand basin and a walk-in Mira shower. The fully equipped kitchen offers all necessary appliances and utensils, including an electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils, an iron and ironing board. A separate WC is also located off the rear lobby.
Upstairs, accessed through a door in the living room, the double bedroom overlooks the front garden, while the rear twin bedroom has an en-suite toilet and wash hand basin and overlooks the back of the property.
The small enclosed garden at the front of the cottage features a patio area with a table and chairs, ideal for outdoor relaxation. Off-road parking is available for up to two cars, either in the driveway or under the carport.
Burton Bradstock is located on the South Coast, just two miles from Bridport and 15 miles from Weymouth, situated within the scenic Jurassic Coast in West Dorset. The village is centred around the 14th-century Church of St Mary and is surrounded by charming 16th and 17th-century thatched and stone cottages. There are no street lights, so on clear nights, the stars can be clearly seen. The village also offers a Post Office and farm shop, a library, a general store and garage, as well as a small adventure playground and playing field for children. Places to visit include:
Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens.
West Bay Discovery Centre.
Abbotsbury Swannery.
