Gingerbread Cottage offers wonderful self catering accommodation in the charming village of Chideock. Our cottage in Dorset is a great base for exploring Bridport, Lyme Regis, Charmouth and West Bay.
Our thatched cottage is thought to date from 300 years ago and has been tastefully renovated to offer quality accommodation. Original features include exposed beams and window seats.
Inside we have a lounge with 2 chairs, a 2-seater sofa, fireplace, flat-screen TV with Freeview and DVD player. A well-equipped kitchen/dining comes with a range of appliances: an electric cooker with double oven, toaster, microwave and fridge-freezer. At the far end of the kitchen is a dining area.
We have 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed and the window seat offers views of the church. A second room comes with a single bed. A first-floor bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower.
Outside we have a west-facing rear courtyard and lawned garden.
We also offer accommodation in Chiddy Nook and The Burrow – please enquire for details.
You can enjoy scenic walks straight from the cottage, straight to the top of Golden Cap, the highest point of the South West Coastal Path. The village of Chideock has a local shop, two great pubs and is less than a mile’s walk from the stunning World Heritage Jurassic coastline. Bridport is around 3 miles away and has lots of shops, pubs, restaurants, tea shops, a few small theatres and an arts centre. Further attractions to visit include:
