Accommodation

The Old Rectory is a Grade II Listed Georgian property, once believed to be the largest rectory in England. Inside, the house radiates a calm, comforting atmosphere, with interiors that reflect a sense of understated luxury. The décor is designed to enhance the original charm of the 300-year-old home, blending rustic leather furniture, textured rugs on old wooden floors, and soft lighting with carefully selected colours and wallpapers. This thoughtful combination brings a sense of warmth, style and contemporary comfort, while respecting the character of the building.

The Old Rectory is perfectly suited for hosting large family holidays, reunions, and celebrations. With 11 spacious bedrooms, it can sleep up to 22 guests comfortably. Five of the bedrooms include day beds or trundles suitable for children only, allowing for a maximum capacity of 31. The house also features a large dining room that seats up to 32, a welcoming drawing room with an open fire, and a library games room complete with a pool table. There are two kitchens, fully equipped to handle catering for larger groups, including ovens, a 5-ring hob, dishwashers, and fridge freezers, as well as a utility/pantry area with a washing machine and microwave.

Outside, the grounds include a generous lawn and a veranda with a BBQ area, offering panoramic views across lush fields stretching towards the sea. It’s an ideal setting to relax, dine al fresco, and enjoy the unspoilt beauty of the Dorset countryside.

Guests are welcomed with a personal meet-and-greet by the housekeeper, and up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed per group, making The Old Rectory a truly inclusive and comfortable retreat for all.
