Summary

Salcombe Shepherd Huts offers luxurious self catering accommodation in Malborough. Based in Devon on a working family farm of 100 acres of gorgeous countryside, we are perfect for a magical holiday. We are close to Kingsbridge and only 2miles from the beach.

The Potting Shed and The Shippen

Our two new huts are beautifully furnished and come with a range of luxuries. Both huts have been meticulously crafted by Ashwood Shepherd Huts and designed for families and older clientele. Adults can sleep on the lavish king-size bed (at floor level) and 2 separate bunk beds are upstairs for children, ensuring a bit of peace and quiet for parents. The huts include underfloor heating which will keep you warm in the winter months.

Both huts have an en suite toilet and a washroom to the back of the hut, meaning you don’t have to trudge off to the campsite on a rainy day. The large size of the huts provides a more spacious living space. There is a separate sofa, kitchen and a dining table to eat out. On a sunny day, you unwind on the outside dining area with a glass or two. Guests have use of the amenity block for free hot showers and a new laundry facility in the new block will be available soon.

The Sand Castle and The Foxes Den

Our original huts have been expertly crafted, built from wood sourced from sustainable Devon trees, ensuring they have a low carbon footprint. The huts come with solid wooden exposed beams, delightful wooden windows and a handcrafted mezzanine including a full double bed with a bespoke solid wooden staircase. This extra floor space provides you with a relaxing, hassle-free experience, with no need to make your bed each night.

The beautiful kitchen area comes with a bespoke fitted wooden work surface and a range of appliances/essentials: fridge, a kettle and toaster, two ring gas hob, and sink area, cupboards for storage and basic kitchen utensils. At the front of the hut is two large double glazed doors which open out to the spectacular views of Salcombe Estuary. You can’t get a better spot for enjoying a morning coffee whilst savouring the view. There is en suite toilet facilities. The hut is just a short stroll from the amenity block.

All of our huts offer a truly sumptuous experience, with wonderful fixture and fittings. The linen is 600 thread count pure cotton and gorgeous throws and blankets are also available in the colder months. We also provide BBQs, including BBQ equipment and BBQ cleaner.

Please note the huts are suitable for people with limited mobility and there are steps to the huts. However the washroom facilities have full disabled access.
