Jack's Cottage offers superb self catering accommodation within the quaint Derbyshire village of Longnor. The period property is just a short car journey from the spa town of Buxton which lies just outside the picturesque Peak District National Park. This cosy cottage still retains many of its original features & is the ideal romantic getaway.

Accommodation

This wonderful cottage offers everything you need for a magical break in a great location. Fabulous features including stone floors and oak beams downstairs and original wooden floorboards upstairs. The cottage enjoys a charming heritage feel but also includes modern facilities such as a contemporary shower room and plush pillowtop double bed with king size duvet.

Downstairs there is an original cast iron fireplace in the cosy living room which has a dining table for two, a sofa and a digital flat-screen TV/DVD player with Freeview. A well-equipped kitchen is great for home-cooking and includes a Belfast sink, electric cooker, refrigerator with ice box, microwave, toaster and kettle, iron and ironing board. Doors open directly onto the patio and enclosed garden.

Upstairs there is a Sealy plush pillowtop 4'6" double bed with king size duvet, antique pine furniture and a decorative original stone fireplace. The adjacent shower room has a modern shower. All bedding and towels are provided.

Outside there is an enclosed rear garden and patio with garden furniture for al fresco dining when the sun is shining. A stone bench to the front of the cottage is great for a coffee in the morning sun.

Location

This area is a haven for walkers and cyclists. The village has places to eat, shop, Post Office and other features. With Buxton and its Opera House, Georgian Crescent and Royal Stables, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, National Trust properties, parks and gardens, delightful Peak District market towns and villages and the Tissington and High Peak cycle tracks all within easy reach, Jack's Cottage provides an excellent base from which to explore all that the Peak District, with its spectacular scenery, has to offer.
