Welsh Hill Holidays in Rhewl offers fantastic self catering accommodation. We are perched on the banks of the River Dee near Llangollen, perfect for a tranquil escape. Our two cottages are also in the ideal location for exploring Denbighshire.
Our charming cottage dates from the 1800s and was originally the schoolhouse for families living in the area. The house now offers superb accommodation to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Outside there is garden furniture for al fresco dining whilst admiring the gorgeous setting.
Inside there is a spacious open plan living/dining room with a bifold division if you fancy feeling toasty in front of the wood burner. Rustle up some delicious dishes in the fully-equipped kitchen that includes an electric oven and hob, large fridge freezer and dishwasher. A utility room comes with a washing machine.
In total there are two attractive bedrooms, 1 double room and 1 triple bunk bedroom. Both rooms share a shower room and downstairs there is a bathroom with a bath.
This cottage was originally a double-height chapel for the local community and dates from 1826. The cottage now offers modern accommodation maintaining original features, including original double-opening front doors. In total, there are 4 lovely bedrooms for a restful night’s sleep: 1 king, 1 double, 1 triple bunk room and 1 twin room.
After a busy day sightseeing, unwind in the spacious living room and stay cosy in front of the log burner. Cook up a storm in the fully-equipped kitchen that includes an electric cooker, fridge freezer and dishwasher. The washing machine is in the porch area next to the kitchen. Enjoy some home-cooked food in the dining room. Upstairs there is a bathroom with a bath and ceiling-mounted rain shower, plus an additional WC. An additional shower room is on the ground floor level in the porch area.
Outside there are delightful garden and pathway which leads directly to the bank on the river. We also provide lots of seating, perfect for a glass of bubbly whilst savouring the amazing views.
