Accommodation
The main room, kitchen and a bathroom (with a 6’ bath) are on the first floor, having magnificent views of the mountains in all directions. The two bedrooms, a master bedroom and a single bedroom sleeping 3 people, are on the ground floor and are adjacent to a bathroom/showroom. The utility room with freezer and washer/drier, also services activities on the patio. Wood is a feature throughout, with oak and ash floors, doors, beams, rafters, etc.The spacious living room, which is open to the rafters, has a south-facing sky-light which provides good lighting even on the dullest days. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a cooker, toaster, microwave, fridge and eating area with views of Patterdale, towards Glencoyne and Aira Force.
Outside, there is a patio, set in a spacious, open grassed garden, sloping down to the beck. Garden benches are provided as well as patio furniture.
Visiting Hartsop & Exploring Cumbria
The holiday cottage is centrally positioned in the Lake District National Park and in easy reach of Windermere, Ambleside, and Keswick. A wide variety of activities (steamer cruises, sailing, boat hire, fishing and cycle-hire) are available locally at Patterdale, Glenridding and Ullhswater (2 -3 miles away). Golf, horse riding and quad-biking are also available in the area.Whatever your interests and however you wish to spend your holiday time, Hartsop provides an excellent location to relax and unwind. Walkers, birdwatchers, and other countryside lovers have found the area particularly appealing, and Mill Cottage offers peace and quiet in pleasant and comfortable surroundings.
