Sunnybank Cottage, a 150-year-old traditional home recently refurbished, is set in a prime location off Kirkstone Road, about half a mile from Ambleside. It offers stunning views of Wansfell and the valley leading to Windermere Lake.
Accommodation
The living room is equipped with Sky TV, Freeview TV, a DVD player, a radio/CD player, and an open fire (winter coal included). The kitchen/dining room is fully fitted and includes a cooker, fridge with freezer compartment, electric kettle, toaster and microwave. There is a table with four matching chairs and a full supply of crockery, cutlery and pots and pans.The cottage accommodates up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. Blankets and duvets are provided, but bed linen is not included (except for overseas visitors at £5 per person per week). The bathroom features a bath with a shower overhead, a wash basin, a heated towel rail, a shaver point and a WC. Please note that towels are not provided. Storage heating and electricity are included in the price.
Outside, there is a garden with an enclosed lawn and seating, offering excellent views towards Wansfell and Lake Windermere. A rotary washing line is available, and parking is provided for 1 car only.
The Area
From the cottage, you can access several footpaths and bridleways leading to major fells or enjoy a stroll into town via the Stockghyll Falls. It’s also a short walk to the many cafes, restaurants and traditional pubs in Ambleside. There is plenty to see and do in the area, including:Rydal Mount & Gardens.
