Positioned at the edge of the village, Coldgill View offers breathtaking and uninterrupted vistas of the surrounding countryside, the meandering river Derwent and the expansive northern Lake District fells.
The Accommodation
The lounge and dining area is inviting and warm, equipped with a wood-burning stove, a dining space that accommodates seven, a quaint reading nook and French doors that open out to a south-facing deck and a secure garden. Here, guests can enjoy sweeping views of the Lake District fells, the local landscape and the river Derwent, with nearby fields dotted with grazing sheep.The home includes a well-appointed kitchen with a dining section, a TV and comes fully equipped with a modern American fridge/freezer, including an ice maker, a wine cooler, a dishwasher and a slow cooker. There's also a utility room furnished with a washing machine and plenty of space for cleaning hiking equipment.
The master bedroom boasts the same magnificent south-facing views as the lounge, featuring a king-size bed, exposed beams, an en-suite shower room and a TV, ensuring a restful and luxurious stay. Additional sleeping quarters include a spacious double bedroom and a twin bedroom overlooking the garden, plus a single bedroom with vistas of the countryside, the river Derwent and the Lake District fells.
The exterior includes a south-facing garden with views over the countryside, the river and the fells, equipped with garden furniture for use throughout the year, excluding winter. A modern charcoal barbecue and a large parasol are available for those sunny days, offering a perfect outdoor retreat.
The property also provides a sunlit back garden with a table, chairs and parasol for leisurely outdoor relaxation. For cycling enthusiasts, there's secure bike storage in the garden shed and a hose at the back for easy bike cleaning after a day exploring the trails.
Parking is convenient with two private bays near the house, with additional space available at the front lane's end, ensuring easy access for guests with vehicles.
