Set within acres of idyllic grounds with meadows, woodlands and beautiful gardens, both the Victorian Brackenrigg House, which sleeps up to 10 guests and the nearby 19th-century converted Barn Cottages, two for up to 2 guests and one for up to 4, boast stunning views of Helvellyn and the Dodds range. This spacious property accommodates up to 10 guests and features a double-aspect lounge with large bay windows showcasing stunning views of Helvellyn, complemented by a wood-burning stove. The lounge opens into a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, complete with a handmade oak kitchen, electric range cooker and dishwasher. The house offers five generous en-suite bedrooms, three doubles and two twins, with the master suite featuring a jacuzzi bath and separate shower. Bleaberry is a ground-floor studio cottage set within a converted barn, featuring an open-plan layout with a lounge, smart TV, a comfortable king-sized bed and ample wardrobe space. The well-equipped kitchen includes an oven, halogen hobs, slow cooker, microwave and dining table, while the en-suite bathroom offers a bath with an overhead shower. Outside, guests can relax in a private seating area with a BBQ and enjoy stunning views, along with access to a shared laundry room and acres of meadows and woodlands to explore.

Brocklebeck is a ground-floor studio cottage for two, offering breathtaking views of the Helvellyn range through its large arched barn window. The open-plan design features a comfortable king-sized bed, a well-equipped kitchen with an oven, halogen hobs, fridge, slow cooker, microwave and dining table, as well as a relaxing sitting area with a sofa, tub chair and Smart TV/DVD. The en-suite bathroom includes a bath with an overhead shower. Outside, guests can enjoy a private seating area with a BBQ, a picnic lawn and access to a shared laundry room.

The Sett is the largest of the three self-catering cottages in Brackenrigg Barn, offering a spacious and comfortable retreat in Keswick, Lake District. Showcasing original 19th-century features like stone walls, wooden beams and floor-to-ceiling windows, it boasts stunning views of the Helvellyn range. Perfect for families, it sleeps four across two bedrooms—a master and a spacious twin—along with a family bathroom featuring an over-bath shower. The open-plan living area includes sofas, a Smart TV, free Wi-Fi and a well-equipped kitchen with an oven, halogen hobs, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and breakfast bar. Outside, guests can relax in the fellside garden with a patio, BBQ and views of visiting red squirrels.

The gardens and grounds surrounding Brackenrigg House and Brackenrigg Barn Cottages provide ample space for children to play, peaceful spots to relax, and fantastic opportunities to observe local wildlife. Regular visitors include badgers, foxes, red deer, hares, red squirrels, and a variety of songbirds, as well as birds of prey like kestrels, sparrowhawks, buzzards and owls, including tawny and barn owls. Brackenrigg enjoys a fantastic location in the very heart of the Lake District and is only a couple of miles from Keswick-on-Derwentwater, a Victorian market town with plenty of shops, a Saturday market, restaurants, pubs, museums, a theatre, cinema, leisure pool, golf course & climbing wall. Other activities nearby include horse riding, kayaking, climbing, ghyll scrambling.
