Award-winning Kernock Cottages, located in South East Cornwall, offers peace and tranquility on its private estate, for couples, families/infants, larger groups and dogs. Guests love to come to Kernock for doggy retreats, enjoying our 6-acre secure dog park and other dog facilities. Situated within a short distance, guests can enjoy beautiful beaches, scenic river walks, National Trust properties, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, and high octane and other leisure activities in the local area.

Cottages can be booked for any duration, with any day of arrival and departure outside of the peak July/August period.

We pride ourselves on offering a wonderful experience for our guests to make memories, including those who wish to bring dogs. For young families with infants and pre-school children, we offer an extensive range of free equipment (cots, high chairs, monitors) to make their stay more enjoyable, and leave room in their car to bring their essential holiday items.

Each of our cottages exudes individual charm, featuring oak, bamboo and Rhodesian teak flooring, along with beamed ceilings, rugs and a blend of contemporary and antique furnishings, paintings and sculptures. This unique blend ensures that each cottage is both comfortable and distinctive.

All cottages are equipped with modern amenities, including a fully stocked kitchen with a dishwasher, washer-dryer, oven, microwave, ceramic hob, fridge-freezer, coffee maker, blender and a wide range of kitchen utensils. For outdoor cooking enthusiasts, each cottage includes a Weber gas barbecue available from May to September.

Every bedroom in our cottages features an en-suite bath or shower room, complete with a hairdryer. Bedroom configurations are flexible, accommodating either superking-sized or twin beds based on your preference.

Guests will also find complimentary WiFi, Smart TVs, DVD players and clock radio alarms in each cottage. A selection of board games and books is provided for leisurely days or quiet evenings indoors.

Outside, guests can enjoy private hot tubs, gardens, well-lit terraces and barbecue areas equipped with Weber gas barbecues (seasonal). The hot tubs provide a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploration.

For larger groups, booking Owl and Tree Barns together is ideal, accommodating up to 10 guests (plus cots). Alternatively, reserve the entire site for a total capacity of up to 16 guests (plus cots).

Situated within a private estate spanning 22 acres of gardens, woodland, paddocks and fields, our cottages offer ample space for relaxation. Dog owners will especially appreciate "Central Bark," a secure 6-acre paddock with scenic views, ideal for morning strolls or watching sunsets.

Heather Barn is fully wheelchair accessible and popular with families and pet owners, featuring amenities like underfloor heating. We also offer a range of useful items for guests' convenience, including hypoallergenic bedding, induction loops for hearing-aid users, bed grab rails, Elephant’s feet, and footstools.

Kernock Cottages prides itself on eco-friendly practices, including a biomass boiler for hot water and heating, a borehole, solar energy and two Electric Vehicle Charging Points (including a Tesla charger). The estate participates in a Land Stewardship Scheme to support biodiversity and year-round bird feeding.

Nearby attractions include coastal villages such as Looe, Polperro, and the Rame Head peninsula, all within 20 minutes' drive. Further afield, guests can explore the North Cornwall highlights of Bude, Tintagel, Port Isaac, Polzeath, Rock, Padstow and Newquay.
