We are a dog friendly self catering holiday home in a beautiful part of Cornwall, in Tresmeer near Launceston. Our shepherds hut is a cosy glamping retreat where we have endeavoured to provide as many modern comforts as possible while keeping in touch with the rustic charm of glamping in the glorious Cornish countryside.

About Frizparc Shepherd's Hut

Inside the hut you will find a comfy fixed double bed with duvet and pillows and some extra fleeces just in case of chilly evenings. There’s a table for two at the window with the best view for miles around.

In a morning you can relax on the veranda and watch the sun come up over distant Dartmoor hills or at the end of the day have a glass of wine and enjoy the sun setting.

The hut has a gas twin hob and grill and a small fridge with plenty of space for some famous Rodda’s Cornish clotted cream or some of our well known locally brewed Cornish Ales. A wood burning stove will keep you cosy on chilly nights and we supply an initial supply of logs and kindling free of charge.
Cooking pots and pans are here for you to use including crockery and cutlery and tea towels. We also provide table condiments, beverages and cleaning materials.

Summer evenings at our holiday home lend themselves to al fresco cooking and dining so you will also find a BBQ and fire pit with an initial supply of charcoal supplied free of charge.

There is no mains electricity supply at the hut so we have solar photovoltaic panels fitted to the roof of the pens to provide lights in both buildings. There are no power sockets available so there is no TV, but just in case you do want to catch up with the world there is a small solar powered radio for you to use. There is good mobile phone signal.

There is a mains water supply with hot water provided by solar and an automatic gas fired boiler to top up the temperature in the spacious shower or separate wash up room if needed. The waterless compost toilet is light and airy with no nasty whiffs!

Visiting Tresmeer & Exploring Cornwall

Just 20 minutes from the stunning North Cornish coast and not many more to the granite tors and leafy valleys of Bodmin Moor or Dartmoor. A perfect place from which to explore the beautiful Tamar Valley and discover some of Cornwall and Devon’s lesser known rural gems.

Frizparc is seven miles from the ancient town of Launceston known as the Gateway to Cornwall, easily accessed from the A30 and just across the border from Devon. A beautiful, historic market town, surrounded by rolling countryside, Launceston is the perfect place to stay and explore all of Cornwall as well as north and west Devon.

A three night minimum stay is £225 for two people, additional nights are £75 per night.
Maximum of 2 people in the hut with space for a pup tent for two further guests in the same party at a small extra cost.
Dogs love the freedom of the field and one well behaved dog is most welcome.
