Broadcarr Barn
Broadcarr barn is a beautiful detached stone barn with interior exposed beams set in a picturesque farmyard.The barn hosts a large fully fitted kitchen with a stone flag and slate floor, a beamed ceiling and a stable door that can be used to access the property. The kitchen has an abundance of work surfaces and cupboard space with a gas hob, electric double oven, microwave oven, freezer, fridge, automatic washing machine and all the usual cooking utensils. Gas and Electricity are included in the price. Five stone steps then lead from the kitchen into the main hallway.
Off the main hallway which has a beamed ceiling is the lounge. The lounge has a three-piece suite and an upright chair which will accommodate seating for six people. This room has a stone open fire place, beamed ceiling and a stable door access to the garden.
A third bedroom is also on the ground floor and has a set of drawers, a bedside lamp and shelves for clothes storage. This room has twin beds and a beamed ceiling.
On the first floor is a double bedroom, offering a beamed room with a double bed, wardrobe, bedside lamps, drawers and a dressing table. A second double room also has exposed beams. It has a double bed, wardrobe, drawers, dressing table and bedside lamps with ample room for a cot if required. Bed linen is provided for the each of the required beds during your stay along with a set of towels for each of our guests.
The family bathroom is a large room with exposed beams. It has a low-level W.C., shower cubical, washbasin and bath. A separate toilet and washbasin room is also available.
At the rear of the property is a fully fenced lawned area that stretches the length of the property. A wooden picnic bench is provided at the front of the property and a patio set is provided on the main lawned area. At the side of this is a gravelled area which provides parking for 3-4 cars. A small outdoor stone building on the side of the property stores coal and a tumble dryer. This building does not lock but can be used for walking boots, cycles etc at your own risk. Visiting Kettleshulme & Exploring Cheshire
Kettleshulme is a quaint village not far from the Derbyshire border. Set in the Peak District there are an array of places to visit in the area. For walkers and hikers trails pervade the surrounding area, which there are also excellent opportunities for golf, the theatre and for a range of lovely restaurants and cafes. Right on our doorstep, there is an abundance of scenic walking routes, plus longer route to the Goyt Valley and to the Gritstone Trail. Only 7 miles from us are Buxton and Macclesfield, whilst Bakewell, Kinder Scout and Castleton are also within driving distance. Great attractions to visit include:Macclesfield Canal.
