Garmoran Square offers the best of both worlds - a rural getaway amid spectacular west coast scenery but with contemporary city chic on the accommodation front. Designed to the highest standard of luxury and awarded 5 stars from Visit Scotland for Tioram and Somerled cottages and 4 star for MacRuairi and Shiel cottages. Each of our holiday cottages are named after local landmarks and historic local people.

All holiday cottages have a traditional looking croft exterior that is sympathetic to its surroundings and gives a lie to the luxurious, contemporary interiors. The properties sleep 2, 4 and 6 people or up to 18 if taken as a whole. Every bedroom has an en suite bathroom or shower room.

Each of our elegantly designed self catering apartments offers large, bright, modern living spaces that come well equipped to provide you with a true home away from home feel. With underfloor heating throughout each apartment, roaring log burners and two of our apartments with spa baths, you will struggle to find a reason to leave but with stunning views across the idyllic Scottish Highlands just a stone's throw outside your front door, Garmoran Square really is the perfect base for any great getaway.

Each cottage has its own deck area with outside garden furniture. The cottages sit in a well maintained garden that is fenced and gated. There is a storage shed for bikes etc.

Visiting Mingarry & Exploring Argyll

Situated in Mingarry, Moidart, close to Ardnamurchan, Garmoran Square is just 1 hour from Fort William and within easy reach of Mull and Skye. The elegant cottages have stunning views across Loch Shiel to Ben Resipole.

Mingarry is situated in Moidart on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands, to the west of Fort William and north of the Isle of Mull. Moidart is best known as Bonnie Prince Charlie country as he arrived in Kinlochmoidart in August 1745 landing at Castle Tioram on route from France and set sail up Loch Shiel from Dalilea. Mingarry is a small crofting township. There are a number of public dwellings such as a church, which was erected by Hope Scott in 1862, as well as a mixture of traditional crofts, some private houses and the Clanranald Hotel. There is also a hotel, pub and restaurant offering great quality food using local produce. Medical centre can also be found in Acharacle.

Fort William is 44 miles from Mingarry, offers a wider range of shops and services including banks and building societies.
