The spacious living room comes with with a dining area, electric log-effect stove,TV and DVD player. French doors open onto a patio with furniture and a barbecue.

Bedrooms include a double bedroom and a twin-bedded room. The bathroom has a shower over the bath.

There is electric central heating throughout, double glazing and a high standard of insulation.

There are two cottages built to the same specification. You can also enjoy a communal open-spaced garden into the woods.

Visiting Achnamara & Exploring Argyll

You do not have to go far from the cottages to see the local wildlife. Two kinds of deer live in the wood around the cottages and you might also see badgers. Walk down to the shore for the chance of watching seals and otters and, of course, sea birds, or visit Taynish Nature Reserve across Loch Sween.

Alternatively, bring your own boat or canoe and discover the many interesting inlets of Loch Sween; the loch is also ideal for windsurfing. Some brave people swim in Loch Sween and there are several beaches within a reasonable distance, ranging from the shingle beach a few hundred yards below the cottage to Kilmory beach, four miles away, with fine, white sand. If you prefer fishing to swimming, the area has much to offer. You could take a boat trip, or go further afield and explore the Inner Hebrides. Ferries depart from a number of locations in the area.

Or, best of all, sit back and enjoy the peace and tranquillity and do absolutely nothing at all ... some of the best things are right on your doorstep, such as the wild deer and the beautiful sunsets.
