Rowanhill Cottage offers delightful self catering accommodation in the crofting area of Moss. We are around 2 miles from the village of Acharacle and nestled down a no-through road beside the River Shiel and Loch Shiel. Further afield you can visit lots of attractions in Argyll.
Our traditional stone built cottage sleeps up to 6 people and was formerly a croft house. The house has now been renovated to offer modern accommodation.
Inside there is a fully equipped kitchen with a range of appliances: a split-level electric oven and an induction hob plus a microwave cooker, refrigerator and dishwasher. There is a pine table and dining area. A hall cupboard houses a deep freeze.
Unwind in the lounge that has an electric fire, television, DVD player and easy chairs. You can enjoy views over the garden and river.
In total, there are 3 bedrooms. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms that share a bathroom. Downstairs there is a bedroom and a shower room. A cloakroom has a further WC, a clothes washing machine and a dryer.
Outside we have a large garden to relax in and there is a small stream running by.
Our cottage is perfect for exploring Acharacle, home to a post office, tea room, 2 hotels, bakery and village stores. You can fish on Loch Shiel and in the River Shiel (by prior arrangement). Locally there are lots of walks to enjoy and around a 10-minute drive away is the beach at Dorlin and Castle Tioram. Attractions to visit include:
