The Sail Loft Bunkhouse offers self catering accommodation in Portsoy. Our hostel in Aberdeenshire boasts views over Links Bay Beach.
Our bunkhouse has 10 bedrooms all together. All the bedrooms come with high-quality mattresses, supplied by Glencraft in Aberdeen. All bed linen is provided. Towels can be arranged by request.
All our bedrooms have their own reading light and an individual secure locker which offers space for mobile devices etc. Cots can be provided free of charge.
Section 1. Ground Floor: We have two bunkrooms; one with 4 beds (2 bunks), and one with 6 beds (3 bunks). There is also a single bed, wheelchair accessible room its adjacent to a private toilet and shower room.
Section 2. First Floor: There are four, two bed rooms and two, 3 bed rooms, both with space for a cot.
Section 3. Flat: There is a self contained flat available. This has a single bed room plus there’s a sofa bed in the main lounge room. The flat has its own shower room and full cooking and dining facilities.
We have modern clean male and female toilets and showers. Hair dryers are available.
Facilities in the main house include an open plan kitchen and dining area with a range of appliances: oven and hob, microwave ovens, fridges, kettles and toasters. You can unwind in the lounge which comes with a wood-burning stove and a video projector. There is a laundrette and a drying room.
Outside we have a walled garden with a BBQ for al fresco dining. Soak yourself in the hot tub.
Whilst staying with us you can enjoy lovely sea walks or see the local wildlife. Visit The Salmon Bothy in Portsoy, home to a museum and a base for Family History Research. You can head to one of the nearby towns or villages. Attractions to visit include:
Boyne Castle.
Portsoy harbour.
Castle Fraser, Garden & Estate.
Duff House.
Findlater Castle.
