Aberfoyle Cottages offers superb self catering accommodation in Balleich. Our two cottages near Aberfoyle enjoys glorious views Ben Lomond and lush fields. We are a great base for exploring Stirling and Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.
Lomond View Cottage
Our holiday home has 2 bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to 4 people. It is a lovely retreat for a couple or a family who are looking for a relaxing breakaway. On the ground floor, there is the large well equipped kitchen, open plan lounge and dining area, a twin room with south facing views over the garden and large spacious family bathroom with Jacuzzi bath. A large double bedroom is upstairs equipped with a 19” flat screen TV with Freeview and also has excellent views towards Ben Lomond and a comfortable seating area in which to retreat to for some quiet reading time. All beds have oversized duvets to add that extra touch of luxury! Both bedrooms also have electric alarm clocks and hairdryers.In the lounge, for your entertainment we have free Wi-Fi, an LG 42" HD Smart TV with full internet access, catch-up TV and Netflix membership, giving you a choice of hundreds of films, TV series and documentaries at no extra charge as well as a Sky Freeview package with a good range of channels and there is also a DVD player, iPod docking station and mini Hi-Fi with a good choice of DVDs and CDs for your entertainment.
Outside of the holiday cottage is a large secure south facing garden which is ideal for children and pets. There is a barbeque area with outdoor seating (BBQ provided, please bring your own charcoal) and also a large secure storage shed for your bicycles and other sporting equipment. We have also provided comfy sun loungers if you fancy a day of just relaxing and catching some rays in the secluded garden. There is also ample parking space for 2 cars adjacent to the cottage and additional parking a short distance away.
Benview Cottage
Our charming cottage has a well equipped kitchen, lounge, dining area and a twin room with a flat screen TV. A king bedded room enjoys delightful views over the front garden. All beds have high quality deep mattresses and oversized duvets to add that extra touch of luxury.The living area comes with a wood burning stove and enjoys stunning views toward Ben Lomond. Facilities include a 42" HD Smart TV with Freesat, full internet access, catch-up TV and Netflix membership. The kitchen, with views over the back garden and forestry beyond is fully equipped with DAB radio, electric hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer and dishwasher Outside there is a BBQ area with seating. We provide sun loungers and two parking spaces for cars are provided.
Visiting Balleich & Exploring Stirling
This beautiful part of Scotland is a haven for walkers, cyclists, nature lovers and those who want to visit the many sights throughout Stirling and the Loch Lomond National Park. The village of Aberfoyle is just a short 10 min stroll away down a well lit, quiet road where you will find a supermarket (open from 8 am to 10 pm 7 days a week), a variety of shops, bars and restaurants to supply you with all the food, entertainment and refreshments you will need for your stay. It is also an excellent base for touring with many tourist attractions and main cities all within an hour's drive. There are also regular bus links from the village and excellent local taxi services.
