Ettrick View provides wonderful self catering accommodation in the gorgeous Ettrick Valley. Situated in a beautiful part of the Scottish Borders, our holiday home is perfect for a magical getaway.
Accommodation
Our fabulous stone-built 7-bedroom house sleeps up to 16 people, great for a family or group looking for somewhere special to stay. The house has been beautifully converted from a 19th Century farm steading to provide high-quality accommodation.Inside there is a well-equipped kitchen for home-cooking which enjoys amazing views of the hills. Excellent appliances include a cooker, large combination microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, cutlery, pots and pans and cooking equipment. A large kitchen table with benches are perfect for enjoying some breakfast on, whilst the elegant dining room is great for a relaxing dinner with your loved ones. After a day sightseeing, unwind in the spacious lounge which has a big flat-screen TV, pool table and table tennis.
Downstairs there are two attractive bedrooms: a twin/super king room and a king room. The rooms share a downstairs toilet and shower room. Upstairs there are 5 more bedrooms: 1 family room, 3 doubles and 1 twin. Two of the room are en suite and a family bathroom is also available.
A cot, high chair and stair gates are available at no extra cost.
The large garden with table and chairs are perfect for relaxing with a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. There is also a BBQ available. We have lockable storage available for bikes and fishing gear etc. A large, shared courtyard are with seating next to the house is available to use, plus 4 acres of delightful grounds to roam freely in.

Visiting Selkkirk & Exploring The Scottish Borders
The holiday homes are in an ideal position to make the most of the local area. This area is perfect for cycling with its rolling hills and quiet winding roads with lovely scenery and a real feeling of escape. Cycle across the Ettrick and Yarrow Valleys to Innerleithen or follow one of the several major cycling routes.You could be spoilt for choice here with several excellent golf courses all within about 30 minutes’ drive from us. Many of the Border towns are very pretty and are great as a base for a day out. There are plenty of independent shops and galleries to browse as well as walks along rivers, lovely restaurants and cafes. Brilliant attractions to visit include:
Eildon Hill.
Newark Castle.
Cauldshiels Loch.
Bowhill House.
Haining Loch.
