Cuckoo Barn Lodge sleeps six comfortably with extra beds available. It is also available for couples at a reduced price. The three bedrooms can be prepared as continental doubles or twins to suit your party. The master bedroom has a walk in wet room and bedrooms 2 and 3 share a family bathroom. Three foldaway beds are available for extra guests. The modern open plan living area looks out over a private south facing terrace and lawn with views over tree lined meadows. Relax for a cosy evening in front of the woodburner. Underfloor heating with simple controls throughout in this eco friendly retreat. The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, under counter fridge, under counter freezer, microwave. On your doorstep there are lovely peaceful walks through the Earl of Gainsborough's Exton Park. Visit Fort Henry, a classic Victorian landscape with two lakes or the lovely chocolate box village of Exton.

In summer enjoy the popular water park or a trip around the beautifully landscaped lake on the Rutland Bell. Hire mountain bikes or electric bikes and cycle safely around Rutland Water with all the family.The Rutland Water nature reserve is home to the first Ospreys to breed in England for over 150 years. Hire paddle boards canoes or sailing boats or take a day's trout fishing on the water.
The nearby market towns of Oakham and Stamford have plenty of places to eat and shop including designer boutiques, art galleries and an award winning brewery.
Visit Burghley House, a beautiful historic Elizabethan Palace set in a Capability Brown Park with excellent facilities for all ages including a secret garden for children and host to the annual Burghley International Horse Trials.
