Locka Old Hall Cottage offers self catering accommodation located close to Arkholme near the small town of Kirkby Lonsdale. The cottage is perfect for a romantic break away and is great for any keen walkers and bird watchers. Centrally located, our holiday home is the ideal solution for exploring Lancashire, Cumbria, The Forest of Bowland, Morecambe Bay, Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Accommodation

The main living area in the holiday cottage is open plan and spacious offering a TV, DVD player, wood-burning stove and comfortable seating. The lounge also has a double sofa bed for any extra guests.

There is a modern kitchen that offers everything you will need including a hob, electric oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave and a fridge.

The bedroom in the self catering cottage has a king-size bed and is located adjacent to the shower room where there is a shower, toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail.

There is a private, enclosed garden that has extensive lawns, large terrace and garden furniture. The garden has panoramic views across the Lune Valley to Ingelborough and the fells of the Yorkshire Dales. This is a lovely place to relax with a drink.

Visiting & Arkholme & Exploring Lancashire, the Lake District & the Yorkshire Dales

Arkholme is a pretty village with an historic church on the banks of the River Lune. The nearby towns of Carnforth and Kirkby Lonsdale both have supermarkets and petrol stations. Kirkby Lonsdale has a wide selection of cafes, restaurants and pubs. Guests can visit Lake Windermere and Coniston Water during their stay as well as many national Trust properties including Beatrix Potter’s House and Sizergh Castle. The Yorkshire Dales are also easily accessible as is the traditional seaside resort of Morecambe and Morecambe Bay. Leighton Moss RSPB reserve is also close.
