Cider Cottage is the perfect choice for couples looking to escape to a peaceful countryside retreat. Situated in a secluded and private location, it offers comfort, tranquillity and the ideal setting to relax and reconnect. Whether you want to unwind in the tranquil surroundings or explore the beauty of the Herefordshire countryside, this self catering cottage provides the perfect base for a memorable getaway.
Originally a 17th-century cider mill, Cider Cottage has been carefully renovated to a high standard, preserving many of its original features while incorporating modern comforts. Wooden beams run throughout, adding character to the space, while contemporary wood flooring with underfloor heating ensures warmth and coziness all year round. The blend of history and modernity creates a welcoming and luxurious retreat.
You’ll enter Cider Cottage through a delightful Victorian brick patio before ascending a few steps into the open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the lounge features two inviting sofas, perfect for curling up after a day of exploring. Whether you choose to watch a movie or simply unwind with a book, the space is designed for comfort and relaxation.
From the dining area, a hallway leads to the secluded rear patio, a peaceful spot where you can enjoy breakfast while listening to birdsong. In the evenings, you can sit and watch the sunset or gaze at the star-filled night sky, making the most of the cottage’s idyllic rural setting.
A few steps from the lounge area lead to the bedroom, which features a luxurious king-size bed dressed in high-quality bedding, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The ensuite wet room offers a stylish and convenient space to refresh after a day of walking and sightseeing, making your stay even more comfortable.
Outside, guests have access to a private patio area with garden furniture and are welcome to roam the re-wilded grounds, where they can find a quiet spot to enjoy a morning coffee or relax under the stars at night. With peace and tranquillity in abundance, Cider Cottage is a true countryside sanctuary.
For those travelling with pets, we welcome up to two dogs. The enclosed walled patio offers a secure space for them to enjoy.
The location is perfect for exploring Llangrove and the Wye Valley, as well as the nearby Forest of Dean and Wales. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery and rural charm, Thatch Close Cottages provide an unbeatable countryside escape.
