The Lazy Fish
Our barn conversion boasts many original features whilst offering modern accommodation. This charming property is well insulated and comes with eco-friendly underfloor heating and a wood burner for added warmth. The open plan living/dining/kitchen area is stylish, comfortable and will suit all your needs. The living area comes with comfy sofas and a TV. A fully equipped kitchen comes with a range of excellent appliances.Two beautifully furnished bedrooms are available. There is a shower wet room and a bathroom featuring a lavish Castello bath. Two more people can be accommodated on a sofa bed on the mezzanine floor.
Outside there is an outdoor dining area with a table, chairs and BBQ.
The Little Fish
Our modern and stylish studio property is next door to the Lazy Fish. The luxurious double bath is accompanied by the babble of the brook outside. There is also a spacious shower and WC. The kitchen is well equipped and for an additional upgrade, we can provide a champagne welcome hamper with homemade brownies, snacks and all you need for breakfast. The living area comes with a sofa, TV and wood burner. Outside there is a private courtyard with a BBQ and seating. An ideal place for a spot of al fresco dining.Shepherds Hut
Our unique Shepherds Hut with stunning westerly views across open fields is situated opposite the Lazy Fish and sleeps 2. It is competely off grid and has solar-powered lights, USB charger and a beautiful wood burner with logs provided. The toilet hut and a heated shower are separate just a few steps away from the main hut and there is an open fire plus a 2 hob gas burner.Visiting Embleton & Exploring Cumbria
We are near the market towns of Keswick and Cockermouth which have a variety of shops, pubs and cafes. There are swimming pools, climbing walls and museums for families whilst Keswick's Theatre by the Lake offers a cultural programme of plays and events. Lots of activities can be enjoyed in the local area, such as hiking, climbing, mountain biking and watersports. The property boasts views across to Skiddaw, the 3rd highest peak in the Lake District. Other local peaks include CatBells, Grisedale Pike, Haystacks, Melbreak and Grasmoor. Lots of attractions are in the local area, including:Derwent Pencil Museum.
