Peter House Cottage - Sleeps 5

A welcoming porch leads into a well-equipped kitchen featuring modern appliances including an electric stove, microwave and refrigerator. The living space offers comfy seating, an open fireplace, a TV and a DVD player. Adjacent to the kitchen is a dining room with seating for five. The cottage includes a double bedroom and a family room with a double and a single bed. The lower level hosts a charming beamed double bedroom and upstairs, a spacious family bedroom with stunning fell views, equipped with a double bed, a single bed and a washbasin. A bathroom with a bath and an overhead electric shower complements these rooms. Outside, guests can relax in a seating area adorned with potted flowers and access a small enclosed garden shared with Pembroke Cottage guests. The cottage also provides parking for two cars.

Pembroke Cottage - Sleeps 4

From the entrance hall, small steps descend to two bedrooms, one double and one twin (convertible to a superking on request). Both bedrooms are airy and bright, with the twin room featuring an additional washbasin. The bathroom is located off the hallway and includes a bath with a shower. The upper level opens to a spacious living area with exposed beams and panoramic views. It includes a kitchen area with essential appliances, a comfortable sitting area with a sofa, chairs, a TV, DVD player and a coal-effect electric fire. A separate dining area seats four. Parking is available beside the cottage, which also has an outdoor bench surrounded by vibrant flowers. A small, enclosed garden near the farmyard is shared with guests from Peter House Cottage.

The Area

Situated on a quiet country lane, the farm is an excellent starting point for hiking or exploring the Northern Lakes by car. The area teems with wildlife due to its secluded nature. Nearby, the village of Bassenthwaite offers a welcoming pub, while the market towns of Keswick and Cockermouth provide shops, galleries, eateries and cultural venues just a short drive away.
