Solomon's Island

Morvah, Penzance, Cornwall

Sleeps 1-7
£660 - £950

Summary

A unique off-grid period Cornish holiday home, Solomon's Island offers you an opportunity to stay in an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by farmland and heath with sea views, you can enjoy the pure tranquillity of this stunning scenic location, whilst being only a short distance from St Ives and Penzance. Nearest neighbours are cows and rabbits, and sightings of the rare Cornish chough sitting on the roof are not unusual. Sunsets are epic, and you can try and catch a glimpse of the fabled ‘green flash’ as the sun sets into the sea.

Accommodation

Solomon’s Island is self-sufficient with its own water supply, and solar arrays for power. It has a cosy sitting room with a log burning stove. Adjoining this room is the dining room complete with an oil-fired Rayburn, which can be used for cooking as well as providing heat and hot water. Beyond this is the kitchen with a microwave, fridge-freezer and a gas hob, along with original stone larder for storing foods.

The cottage sleeps a maximum of 7 people. It has one king size double bed room with garden views, one twin bed room with both sea and garden views, and one treble room with 3 single beds, also with both sea and garden sea views. Please note, only duvet inners and pillows are provided. Guests will need to bring their own duvet covers, bottom sheets, pillow cases and towels with them.

Solomon’s Island is all about peace and quiet. The cottage does not have a TV, a land line or WiFi, but what it does have is an abundance of board games, coupled with peace and quiet, to allow you to indulge in a digital detox and have time to reconnect with your friends and family.

Visiting Morvah & Exploring Cornwall
