Summary

Friesian Valley Cottage offers fantastic self catering accommodation in the rural hamlet of Mawla. We are only 5 minutes from Redruth and just 2 miles from the north Cornwall coast and beaches of Portreath and Porthtowan.

Our 5 cottages were originally converted from farm buildings and an old milking parlour. The cottage now offers excellent accommodation and are nestled around a courtyard with lawned areas, ideal for a glass of wine in the afternoon sun.

Elm Cottage

This charming cottage sleeps up to 4 people in a double and twin room. Both rooms share a bathroom with an electric shower. A delightful open plan kitchen/diner/sitting room is a great space for relaxing with family or friends.

Willow Cottage

Our lovely cottage comes with a relaxing open plan living area and its own secluded patio to unwind on. The well-equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances to suit all your needs. Two bedrooms are available: a double and twin. Both rooms share a bathroom with a shower.

Oak Cottage

This newly renovated 3-bedroom cottage sleeps 5 in 3 bedrooms: a double, twin and single room. All the rooms share a bathroom which a large walk-in shower. The open plan living/dining/kitchen area will suit all your needs. A stable door leads to a pretty courtyard.

Maple Cottage

Our superb 3-bedroom cottage sleeps 6 in a king and 2 twins room. The bathroom has modern fittings with an electric heated towel rail and an electric shower over the bath. The kitchen/diner is well-equipped and you can relax in the separate sitting room.

Ash Cottage

This delightful 3-bedroom cottage sleeps 6 in a double, twin and bunk room. The bathroom comes with a shower over the bath. There is also a downstairs cloakroom. A well-equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances and there is a separate sitting room to unwind in.

Guests have use of a games room which has books, games, a dartboard and a coin-operated pool table. A laundry room comes with a separate token/coin-operated washing machine and large tumble dryer.

Visiting Mawla & Exploring Cornwall

We are great for a cycling holiday, with the Cornish Coast to Coast cycle route on our doorstep. Porthtowan Beach is a sandy beach which is family-friendly and the whole family can also enjoy a day at Trevaskis Farm. Further attractions to visit include:
