The Stable Yard is situated within 140 acres of grass and woodland in the Bedfordshire countryside. Nestled in a working livery yard, our self-catering apartments are suitable for individuals, couples, and groups of up to 20. Within easy reach from the M1, A1 and A6, we are 7.5 miles from Bedford and 12 miles from Milton Keynes

Apartments

There are 8 open plan studio apartments, each with a fitted kitchen and on-suite bathroom. There is also a two-bedroom self-contained family apartment with a separate kitchen and living room. Based on the standard layout we can accommodate 20 guests across the apartments, but this can be increased with spare beds available in most rooms, subject to availability. We also welcome guests who wish to bring their pets although a cleaning charge will be applied per apartment.

Located in the middle of the accommodation is a cosy communal area with a log burner and dinning table where groups can socialise and eat together.

We are also proud to offer the Stable Yard as a woodland wedding reception venue. All the apartments can be block booked for guests with the wedding site located in a beautiful private woodland space, just a short walk from the accommodation.

Visiting Wootton & Exploring Bedfordshire

The accommodation itself is located on a working arable farm with approximately 25 horses at livery. The farm is part of the countryside Stewardship Scheme and therefore has 6m grass strips around the perimeter of all of the fields. There are many walks from your back door and many more in the local area.

Bedford is approximately 7 miles away and Milton Keynes approximately 12 miles. Milton Keynes is famous for its large shopping centre, the Milton Keynes Theatre, and the Xscape Centre, offering one of the largest indoor ski slopes in Europe. If you are visiting Milton Keynes Equestrian Centre or The College Equestrian Centre either with or without your horse, then we would be happy to accommodate you. If you are attending a concert at Milton Keynes Bowl or an event at Woburn, or even if you just want to enjoy a weekend break in Bedfordshire then please give us a call. Places like Wimpole Hall, Cambridge and The Shuttleworth Collection, are all within easy reach.

Rates:
The apartments can be booked on a daily or weekly basis.
Daily rate for a studio apartment is £70, or £330 per week
Daily rate for the 2-bed apartment is £150.
Weekly cost for all apartments sleeping 20 adults £3500
All prices include Wi-Fi, toiletries, towels, and bed linen. Discounts apply for longer stays.
