Whether you're inclined to embark on outdoor adventures, explore the vast surroundings, or simply unwind and soak in the panoramic views, Oystercatchers provides the perfect haven. Conveniently located just 3 miles from Dornoch, one of Scotland's most picturesque villages, guests can enjoy sweeping sandy beaches, a world-renowned golf course consistently ranked among the top ten globally, captivating cultural landmarks including a cathedral and castle and charming cafes offering delightful treats.

Accommodation

At the heart of the cottage lies a well-equipped kitchen, offering sanctuary from any inclement weather that may sweep by. From the sunny, triple-aspect living room, guests can marvel at the spectacle of geese flocking across the expansive skies in Autumn and Winter, or observe ospreys patrolling the loch in Spring and Summer.

The spacious sitting/dining room is equipped with TV/DVD, radio/CD and a small library of films and music, along with a larger collection of books. The ground floor features a bedroom with a double bed, along with a shower room and toilet, while upstairs are two additional bedrooms and a bathroom with a toilet.

Outside

Access to the cottage is hassle-free, with ample parking available on flat hard standing for up to three cars.

The large, natural garden is mostly lawned and enclosed by a dry stone wall and fence, ensuring the safety of wandering toddlers and keeping pesky rabbits at bay. With a flat stretch of lawn for ball games, a sloped area for rolling down and a tall tree stump serving as a perch for keen observers, the garden offers something for everyone. Fold-away garden furniture provides a comfortable vantage point for sensible children to keep an eye on playful adults. Additionally, the wood store serves as a convenient and secure lock-up for bikes.

A mown path leads from the garden through the pasture to the shores of Loch Fleet, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest and a national nature reserve. Teeming with wildlife, including seals, otters and a diverse array of birdlife, Loch Fleet offers a mesmerising backdrop to your holiday. A ten-minute stroll along the shore leads to a sandy beach stretching all the way to Dornoch, offering a scenic route for exploration.
