Located in the heart of the Lake District National Park, amongst high mountains close to Ullswater, this recently developed 2-bedroom cottage is well placed for walking many Wainwright peaks, exploring the Lakeland valleys, and engaging in water sports. Mill Cottage provides spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, 4-star rated accommodation of a high standard in a Grade II listed building, in which exposed beams, pitched rafters and wooden floors feature prominently. With a riverside location in outstanding countryside, the cottage has the main living rooms on the first floor to take full advantage of the extensive and magnificent mountain views.

Mill Cottage accommodates a maximum of 3 adults and a child in two bedrooms on the ground floor. The main bedroom is equipped with a king size bed whilst the small bedroom has a single bed, with a guest bed, suitable for a young child, stored underneath. Beds are prepared prior to our guests’ arrival. A shower room is adjacent. The spacious living room, with wood burning stove and Sky TV etc., the well equipped kitchen and a bathroom are located on the first floor. Heating is by storage heaters, electric heaters and a wood burning stove. To the rear of the property, the patio provides an area to sit and relax overlooking the running mountain stream. Hartsop – valley of the deer -- is a picturesque hamlet in a conservation area at the foot of the Kirkstone Pass, and noted for its numerous 17th century dry-stone buildings, some with spinning galleries. Set in stunning scenery, Hartsop is an ideal base for lovers of mountain scenery, and especially for hikers, walkers and strollers. Walks for all abilities start at the front door. For the more serious walkers, Helvellyn, the Fairfield Horseshoe and High Street Range are close-by, and the cottage nestles under Hartsop Dodd, with long views of Dove Crag and Dovedale.

Hartsop is centrally positioned in the Lake District, and in easy reach of Windermere, Ambleside, Keswick and Penrith. Patterdale, Glenridding and Ullswater (2 -3 miles) offer a wide variety of activities, including steamer cruises, sailing, boat-hire, fishing and cycle-hire. Golf, horse riding, and quad-biking are also available in the area. The nearest shop is in Patterdale (2 miles) and the nearest pub serving food is less than 1 mile away.

Whatever your interests and however you wish to spend your holiday time, Hartsop provides an excellent location to relax and unwind. Walkers, birdwatchers, and other countryside lovers have found the area particularly appealing, and Mill Cottage offers peace and quiet in pleasant and comfortable surroundings.

Mill Cottage is available throughout the year, with Sunday the usual change-over day. From the beginning of November to the end of March, 3 day and 4 day short breaks are available, normally starting Fridays and Mondays respectively, though we are flexible about this. Holiday cottage with beautiful views over the Beacon Fell Country Park. Fully equipped, tasteful decor and comfortable rooms. Sleeps 3 with 1 Double and 1 Single Bedroom.

The Garden Cottage is an attractive one level property offering pleasant accommodation that has been graded as Four Star and Silver in Green Tourism. Nestled in the heart of Inglewhite, this lovely cottage is the perfect place to stay for those looking to escape to the countryside.

Set in one acre of landscaped gardens, guests are assured of peace and tranquility throughout their stay. All rooms have been decorated and furnished to a high standard and the kitchen is equipped with everything needed for an enjoyable self catering holiday.

During your visit there is onsite car parking and if you have visitors car parking for them also. We aren't telling about your welcome pack, just to say you won't be disapointed, lots of goodies and home made things. You can also purchase fresh free range eggs.

The cottage comprises of a comfortable lounge with dining area and kitchen that is equipped with fridge, oven, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is a shower room with W/C and a two bedrooms, one of which is a double and the other is a single room.

Additionally there is a utility room with washing machine and freezer for guest use. Heating and hot water is supplied by bottled gas. There are clothes drying facilities in the garden.

Waking up in the double room, probably to our cockerel crowing, your immediate view is across the garden and onto Beacon Fell, this is also the view from the lounge. Each room has radiators that can be controlled by you, so if you hate a hot bedroom you can control that,the whole place is insolated to the highest spec. We leave a little torch on your bedside table for your convenience during the dark hours. Every room gets sunshine at some part of the day.

Killeabraegga Cottage, Bride, Isle of Man

Killeabraegga is a traditional old Manx stone cottage, set in the upper part of the spectacular Sulby Glen, in the north of the Isle of Man which we offer as a self catering holiday cottage. It is an ideal spot from which to enjoy the Manx countryside, with a backdrop of the Manx hills, it is truly a relaxing place to stay.

A couple of miles down the glen lies Sulby Village, where there is a village shop/post office, and two hotels, serving meals and beverages. Further up the glen lies a tea room, which has proved popular with our guests and the large Sulby Reservoir, where excellent fishing is possible (licenses are available from the Sulby Store).

The Cottage includes a double garage, and a private concrete parking area.

The cottage itself consists of two stories, upstairs there is a master bedroom with a double bed, and a smaller bedroom, with a double bed. There is also a bathroom, with a bath, shower, wash basin, and toilet.

Downstairs, there is a comfortable lounge, with an open fireplace, a kitchen, with an Aga; and a dining room, and a settee in this room can be converted into a double bed if required.

Equipment includes an Aga cooker, a microwave oven, an electric kettle, a toaster, a steamer, and a small gas hob & oven to supplement the Aga cooker; also a washing machine and tumble dryer; a fridge-freezer; satellite television; and a coin-operated telephone. The Aga has been converted to run on oil, for ease of maintenance; and co-ordinated smoke and heat detectors have been installed, for your safety.

Prices are inclusive of electricity, and coal and logs are provided for use on the lounge fire, if desired. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are also provided.

All in all, the cottage should provide a really peaceful and interesting base from which to explore our beautiful island.

Toft Hall is over 400 years old and was once the home of the High Sheriff of Staffordshire. It retains all the features of a wonderful listed Jacobean Hall, including wattle and daub panels, lots of beams and some low doorways!

Accommodates 20 people in ten bedrooms with five bathrooms. 4 Double bedrooms, 1 Triple bedrooms (with 3 single beds), and 4 twin bedrooms and 1 single bedroom. The Sitting Room has the sort of squashy leather sofas, chairs and stools that you don’t want to get up from, for a dozen or more people. There is also a selection of DVD films for all ages, as well as a variety of board games. There is a vast array of books to browse throughout the Hall.

The unique wood and stone kitchen is handmade by Smallbone. This has everything that you need in a home away from home. A built in microwave combination oven and two additional ovens will cater for the largest of meals. It also contains a washer/dryer and dishwasher and a large American fridge freezer, (with plenty of room to chill those bottles).

A second smaller kitchen also has granite worksurfces, another oven, fridge, washing machine and microwave.

The Dining Room, which is decorated in a deep red, with delicate lighting and an exposed stone wall; it is especially designed for evening use. One large table can seat up to 20.

The Music Room has comfortable seating for eight and a quality hi-fi system, so you can party. It also contains a large selection of CD’s.

The Games Room contains a variety of games for the energetic (or competitive) including; table tennis, table football and air hockey.

The Bedrooms : Upstairs all the bedrooms are furnished with new comfortable beds and rich fabrics. Every room has a wardrobe or hanging space as well as a dressing table or chest of drawers and side tables. There are lots of spare pillows and blankets to suit every guest’s preference. Fresh bed linen and towels are provided for all guests.

On the first floor there are six bedrooms and two bath/shower rooms. On the second floor are four bedrooms and three bathrooms (NB the doors into the second floor bedrooms are very low and so these rooms are not suitable for the elderly or less mobile).

The Gardens : The beautiful south facing gardens are enclosed on two sides by the original high stone wall, with rose arbour, herb garden, wildlife pond (parents of young children need to supervise them here – although it is fenced in to prevent any accidents) and breathtaking views for miles. There is a barbeque, children’s play house and lots of garden furniture to enjoy.

Toft Barn : This is our smallest Party House and suitable for 12 guests. Toft Barn itself is a beautiful and very old (the historic house experts think it could date back in part over 350 years) detached stone barn. It is situated in the courtyard surrounding Toft Hall.

In summary, Toft Barn accommodation is as follows:
Six bedrooms – 2 double and 3 twin and 1 small twin room). One of the bedrooms is downstairs with an ensuite wet room for guests who prefer not to climb stairs. All five bath/shower rooms are modern and newly fitted. All first floor bedrooms are fully carpeted (and centrally heated with radiators). The downstairs rooms benefit from underfloor heating and therefore have solid oak floors. All beds have quality handmade mattresses and crisp white linen. Towels are provided for all guests free of charge.

Lounge : The large lounge is has solid oak flooring and lovely, comfortable sofas. There is a TV and a DVD player with an assortment of films. There are also lots of books and games.

Dining Room :Comfortable dining facilities for all guests, around one large table.

Kitchen : The Italian kitchen has every modern convenience for a large gathering. This includes plenty of top quality granite work surfaces, a fridge, a dishwasher, washer/dryer, Dualit toaster, microwave and cooker.

Outside : To the front of Toft Barn is a large courtyard. To the rear is a one acre natural field with BBQ, and seating areas. Additionally, shared with Toft Hall, there are further of fields to enjoy. There is ample free car parking.
